Why do I have an extra space when I click on the ENTER key?

In html, Enter (Return) ends a paragraph and starts a new one, thereby creating a double space. If you want to start some text on a new line, but don't want to create a double space, you need to create a line break, i.e., a soft carriage return. To create a line break, hold down the Shift key and press the Enter key.
